Did you know that modern-day slavery is not only alive, but thriving across the United States? The Heritage Dash 4 Dignity is raising awareness of modern-day slavery and funds to bring sexually exploited women and children into freedom. Proceeds from this race will support the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), the leading nonprofit organization in the U.S. working with law enforcement, families and those professionals engaged in issues related to missing and sexually exploited children (www.missingkids.com)

Heritage D4D 5K Run and Freedom Walk date:Saturday April 18th, 2015
Heritage D4D 5K Run and Freedom Walk location:
Heritage Community Church, 8146 Quarterfield Road, Severn, MD21144.
Start times as follows:
- 5K - 7:30 am
- 1K Freedom Walk - 7:45 am
5K Course: This is a flat loop course, running through quiet residential neighborhoods. The course starts and ends at Heritage Community Church.

Freedom Walk Course: A gentle loop around Heritage.
Event Premium: Participants in the 5K and Freedom Walk that register BEFORE March 29th will receive a both a race t-shirt and race packet. Only the 5K run will be timed. 5K participants will also receive a bib.
PLEASE NOTE: To ensure receiving a Port & Co. race t-shirt, 5K and 1K race participants MUST register by March 29, 2015.
Packet Pickup: Event day packet pickup will be held in the Community Center at Heritage Community Church. Recommend arriving between 6:45 – 7 am. Be sure you have signed the race participant waiver. All locations for early packet pickup will be announced by April 2nd.
PRE-RACE PACKET PICKUP: Friday, April 17th, 6 - 8:30 pm

Race Day Parking: Race participants will be parking in the south parking lot. Parking is free and there will be signs on Quarterfield Road directing you to the participant parking area.
5K Awards: This year, we will have medals for the top 3 men and women 5K finishers in youth, adult and senior adult age groups. Specifics of the age divisions will be announced closer to the race. The awards will be announced after the race in the HeritageCommunity Center.
Post-race activities: The Post-race refreshments and awareness exhibits will be set up in the HeritageCommunity Center. As you enjoy your post-race snacks, you will want to learn more about human trafficking – what are the signs; how can we protect our citizens, especially our children; who can you contact if you see signs of trafficking; and how can you get involved.
This is a stroller and pet friendly event.
